Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to address a major rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on December 14. Poet and social activist Imran Pratapgarhi has called on people nationwide to participate, saying the event will raise voices against alleged vote theft under the slogan “Vote chor, gaddi chhod.”

New Delhi: Preparations are underway for a major political gathering in the national capital, as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to address a rally at Ramlila Maidan on December 14. The announcement was made by poet and social activist Imran Pratapgarhi, who called on people from across the country to join what he described as a decisive public demonstration.

Speaking about the planned event, Pratapgarhi said the rally is expected to draw participants from diverse regions, reflecting a nationwide response. According to him, the central slogan of the gathering will be “Vote chor, gaddi chhod” (Vote thief, vacate the seat), framing the event as a collective protest against what the party alleges to be the undermining of democratic processes.

Pratapgarhi emphasized that those attending the rally would be united by a shared objective: to raise their voices against alleged “vote theft.” He appealed to citizens to take part in large numbers, stressing that public participation is essential to safeguard democratic values. The event, he said, is intended to serve as a platform for citizens to express their concerns openly and peacefully.

The rally at Ramlila Maidan, a traditional venue for major political and public gatherings in Delhi, is being positioned by the Congress as a significant show of strength and public sentiment. Organizers expect it to become a focal point for political discourse in the days leading up to the event, with attention centered on turnout and messaging.
